SQL Server configuration for new 2013 Front-End and Persistent Chat pools

Hi, I've migrated our Lync 2010 test environment to 2013. Everything looks to be set up correctly; I had a few errors when publishing the topology and that but everything has successfully created. I've added test users to the new pool and they can send IMs, etc.

The question I have is about the SQL databases that it has created. From viewing the Topology Builder, the SQL server store for my new 2013 Front-end is pointing to new-fe-serverfqdn\rtc and my Persistent chat pool (on a separate server) is pointing to a separate SQL server at sqlserverfqdn\default. Now, when I view my SQL server and databases, should I see an xds database when viewing the new-fe-serverfqdn\rtc? Well, I don't and I also don't see any database under sqlserverfqdn\default for the Chat Pool. Is this expected behaviour or have I missed a step?

When I run the commands on the new 2013 Front End; Get-CsManagementConnection and Get-CsConfigurationStoreLocation, it is showing the Data Source as the legacy FE server\rtc and the SQL server as the legacy server FQDN. I never specified this during the whole process so just need some advice as to if this expected in a migration scenario? What will happen when we decommission the legacy server?
