I set up federation in a Lync 2013 environment for the ability to add skype contact to the contact list.
I did the provisioning at the pic.lync.com, enabled the federation and public IM connectivity and configured a policy to allow federated user access on the lync control panel. Created the skype provider too.
On the topology builder sip federation is enabled, edge pool is selected.
In skype , I could find my lync account at the search and add to the contact list.(Logged in with live id)
Now the problem: My lync client did not received any contact request. So I added my skype account to my contact list in the lync client, using the formula name(domain.com)@msn.com since my live id the standard hotmail.com, live.com etc. After adding it, it says presence unknown, and in skype it also says that the lync acount is not logged in.
Can anyone help what could be the problem? I checked all the guides to set up this federation, and I did all the tasks.
