Hi All, I have an issue with an Edge server and external certificates. My setup is a Single On-Premises Lync 2013 Standard FE/Mediation/Sql server on Server 2012, a VoIP Voice gateway 2008/Voip T1 server and a single Lync 2013 Edge Server on Server 2012.
I have 5 On-Premisis Lync accounts used for Polycom phones- in and out calls work properly. We want calls that come in to the Polycoms to roll to our existing Office 365 to pre-assigned EUM accounts based on extension number.
-The issue: the Edge external certificate, which was loaded using the wizard, but not requested directly via the wizard, is not recognized (tested with digicert website) unless I install IIS and bind the cert to https TCP port 443. When I do this, the cert is recognized but AV Audio services do no start on the Edge server. I tried changing the AV TCP port to 445 with Top Builder, export and loading to the edge server, same issue.
On-site in and out calls across the voip gateway work. We completed the Office 365/on prem Lync integration steps and calls roll to O365 after 4 or 5 rings- verified with snooper. However, we get no audio and calls disconnect after a few seconds. We have tried different scenarioson O365 (ext number, etc) but no luck- same issue. I did figure out that there is no audio becuase the Lync audio service was not started. Federation is working but calls have no audio. I think the issues may be related, possibly due to the cert but I am not sure. I beleive that this is the issue becasue if I remove the port 443 cerificate binding in IIS and restart the Lync AV Audio Service, a call will successfully roll to O365 and I get voicemail prompting for to leave a message. Also, Lync calls have audio- because the aduio service started correctly. This however this only works for a while before reverting. Has anyone seen this issue before and my have any suggestions?
