I have a Lync deployment consisting of a Front End , and an Edge server as well as attempting to get this Web Apps server deployed. I also have an IIS ARR as my Reverse Proxy. Everything in my deployment works, except the Web Apps server. I have followed blog posts, technet posts, videos EVERYTHING in an attempt to get this thing working and it ONLY works internally. I have tried having my internal and external URLS be the same and bypass the reverse proxy and NAT directly to the server with a public cert, not working. I have tried having the internal and external URLS of the WebApps Server be different and have my Reverse Proxy route, still does not work. I am at my wits end and need assistance.
Questions answered before you ask, Can I access the https://webapps.domain.com/hosting/discovery externally with no cert? Yes I CAN
Internally? YES
The issue that i have is when a user is at home, not on VPN and they attempt to share they get the "Cannotthe server for presenting right now". If they are within the network, no issue.
What is the issue here?
UPDATE: I realized for some reason, we have no public IP assigned to webconf.domain.org....which as you can assume will probably make these features not work. Will update our public DNS and report back
