Hi,
we tried to install Lync Server 2013 in our Domain. Schema Update was ok but we stuck ad the forest prep:
▼ Enable-CSAdForest | Failed |

I found a quite similar post here https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/de-DE/8c107804-8ff1-4cf4-82d5-89ea4759c8a0/schema-validation-failed?forum=lyncdeploy but wan't to clarify it especially for our Environment.
As i checked the different ISO and Schema updates i think "Service schema Version (ServiceSchema.ldf)" is only for hosted Lync. I didn't installed the Lync 2010 Server but for Lync 2013 i used the normal ISO.
So i checked the AD Schema and found out that there were some Attributes which i though they would only be there when somebody ever installed the Hosting Version. But it confuses me because not all Attributes from the Hosting Version are present.
For example the following Attributes are present from the Lync 2010 Hosting:
msRTCSIP-AssignedPlan
msRTCSIP-Domains
msRTCSIP-ObjectId
msRTCSIP-PendingDeletion
msRTCSIP-ProvisionedPlan
msRTCSIP-ProvisioningStamp
msRTCSIP-PublicProvider
msRTCSIP-PublishingStamp
msRTCSIP-PUID
msRTCSIP-ServiceInfo
msRTCSIP-ServiceSchemaVersion
msRTCSIP-SubscribedPlanXml
msRTCSIP-SyncCookie
msRTCSIP-UsageLocation
msRTCSIP-ValidationError
msRTCSIP-WellKnownObject
But i can't find the following:
msRTCSIP-ProvisioningCounter
msRTCSIP-ProvisionSettings
msRTCSIP-PublishingCounter
msRTCSIP-SubscribedPlan
msRTCSIP-SyncCheckpoint
Can you tell me why? Is it from an old Beta/RC Installation of Lync 2010 or from Office Communicator?
Furthermore what can i do to get Lync 2013 running? Do i have to use the hosted Version since i can't undo the schema changes somebody did a few years ago? Can i use it for my root and subdomain?
Thanks in advance
Andy
