Hi,
We are performing a migration from Lync 2010 to Lync 2013.
I have finished installing FE and Edge, setup Federation and everything is working fine except for the following scenario:
when a corporate user, part of Lync 2010 pool, starts an IM with MSN, then the MSN guy cannot answer. If the corp user sends the first IM and then closes the IM window before the MSN guy answers, then the MSN guy can answer back and the
conversation can continue(in that case it seems like the MSN guy started the IM). If the MSN guy send an IM first, everything is working fine. For users in Lync 2013 pool, there is no problem at all. Any ideas?
But this is not why I started this question.
I was reading this http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj219435.aspx#certificate regarding Office Web App Server and at this partSecuring Office Web Apps Server communications by using HTTPS it says:
1. You’ll have to have to install an Internet Server certificate
that can be assigned to the server that runs Office Web Apps Server if you are using a single server (my case) and after a few lines...
2. The certificate must come from a trusted Certificate Authority and include the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of your Office Web Apps Server farm in the SAN (Subject Alternative Name) field.
So, my question is, do I need a Public certificate or an internal one? At my first bullet it says Internet Server certificate and at the second regarding the CA, it doesn't mention about Public trusted CA, so it could be an internal one, I guess.
What should I do? My OWApp server currently is an internal one.
Any help would be mostly appreciated.
Thanks,
Argi
