Hello All
We have successfully installed and configured LYNC 2013 within our organization and enabled persistent chat and office web application servers. Our clients are able to communicate well with each other and the certificates are installed properly. Below
is our setup
Enterprise Pool: lyncs.schs.sharjah.ae (Under this pool we have 2 front end servers)
Persistent Chat Pool: groupchat.schs.sharjah.ae (Under this pool we have 2 chat servers)
Edge Pool: edge.schs.sharjah.ae (Under this pool we have 2 edge servers)
Office Web App Servers: owas.schs.sharjah.ae (Under this we have 2 office web app servers)
Now we would like to have our external clients connect to our Lync Servers: We are planning on using the following for the Edge Server
Access Edge Service: access.schs.sharjah.ae Port 5061
Web Conference Edge Service: Port 444
A/V Edge Service: access.schs.sharjah.ae Port 443
The 2 Edge Server Details are as follows:
Internal IP Address: 10.32.18.35
External IP Address: 10.33.50.11
Nat Enabled Public IP Address: 195.229.57.58
Internal IP Address: 10.32.18.36
External IP Address: 10.33.50.12
Nat Enabled Public IP Address: 195.229.57.59
So basically we are using one public IP Address for each edge server to run all the edge services!
Now all these DNS records have been created internally. What DNS records we have to create so that our clients can use Lync Externally?
Internal DNS Host A Records:
dialin.schs.sharjah.ae
lyncdiscoverinternal.schs.sharjah.ae
lyncs.schs.sharjah.ae
meet.schs.sharjah.ae
owas.schs.sharjah.ae
admin.schs.sharjah.ae
sip.schs.sharjah.ae
sipinternaltls (protocol _tcp, port 5061, host offering this service lyncs.schs.sharjah.ae)
Moreover are there some records to be created on the Reverse Proxy and what are they? Also do we need to have a reverse proxy?
Regards,
Sheldon Dsouza
