Lync Web App , Application Sharing & Persistent Chat Issues
I am having some peculiar Issues with Lync .
1, Application sharing – Disconnects automatically almost every 9.30secs. This happens between externally to external users and external to internal users.
2. LWA hangs – Personally through my texts, I have had no issues because I know that chrome no longer supports LWA but I have had a couple of people make the same comments that I am forced to take action to find out why ? When They click on the SKype for Business hypertext it just hangs.
3. Persistent Chat. I just created the persistent chat and while I am on the network, everything is fine but once I disconnect from the network , I get a flash warning “ Your chatroom access may be limited due to an outage” I checked and I have persistchat enabled and have created rooms so why I am having Issues externally but I am fine internally ?
I have run get-cspersistentchatstate ; configuration and endpoint and all are good.
4. Powerpoint Presentation – When performing this of all application sharing internally, I get the error “ some presentation features are unavailable due to some server connectivity Issues” Again of all the application features ( polls, Q& A, whiteboard, desktop sharing, program sharing) only PowerPoint presentation gives the error internally. Externally it works. So externally to Internally , It is fine but internally to externally, It gives the error and when I check OWA server, I see this error message

the German translation is missing information and this grew me gray hair.
This is the translation:

Skype for Business Server 2015 - SIPPROXY_E_UNKNOWN_USER_OR_EPID

Skype for Business Server 2015 (front-end) sometimes reports this error on Event Viewer => Application and Services Logs => Lync Server:
- Source: LS User Services
- Event ID: 32263
- Description:
An error occurred while processing a batch of NotifyPipe replies from another front end. This resulted in the notification not being sent. Error code: 0xC3E93C2F(SIPPROXY_E_UNKNOWN_USER_OR_EPID), Error identifier: NotifySingle.Notify Cause: Possible issues with the other front end or with this front end. Resolution: Ensure the front end is functioning correctly.
Notes:
- I already read this TechNet Forums post LS User Services - Event 32263 (not "Marked as Answer")
- Skype for Business Server 2015 servers (both front-end and edge) are working fine; Event Viewer reports no errors with exception of that reported above.

Skype for Business Server 2015
I've just deployed Skype for Business Server 2015 in my domain but I get the following in my event log persistently.
1) 1e5880b0: ignore error 0x80092013:certificate revocation list offline
2) 1f8da773d0: cert chain trust status is in error: 0x1000040
All my clients work fine, and I've verified my certificate is perfectly valid with a good chain.
I've found a Russian MSDN post with the same problem.

Pool pairing error
Trying to set up pool pairing between two standard edition servers. The lync pools are in two different AD sites, but in the same Lync site.
When publishing the topology we get an error stating that the SQL server on the server that doesnt hold the CMS may not allow remote connections. See below:

Lync 2013 Multiple SIP Domain in Hybrid Environment
Dear Team,
We have a customer from whom we have deployed Lync 2013 in a Hybrid Environment, OnPrem users use Cisco CUCM to make outbound calls ,
All the SRV / Reverse Proxy and SIP/WEBCON/AV point to on Prem server.
The customer wants to add additional SIP domain,
Since we are on Hybrid , is there a way we can have the new domain added without making changes on the public certificate,
IE we allow all the hybrid users to be on cloud ,
Or can we use something similar to autodiscover redirect , just like in Exchange,

Skype for Business
I was having this issue before when I was running Lync 2010 and updated to 2013. My issue is that I am not able to place my self in a meeting or do not have that option. I logged in onto a different machine and have those options. The only options
that I have are:
Available, Busy, Do Not Disturb, Be Right Back, Off Work, Appear Away, Reset Status, Sign Out and Exit. But Again on another Machines (PC) I see these option: On a Phone Call, In a Meeting, On a Phone Call and In a Meeting... Please Help

Topolgy Cache of Office Web App URL issue
Evening, I have an interesting question, well I think it is.
I setup Office Web Apps and configured the URL in topology builder, published it as you do but amended the url.
Serverhostname.com
serverhostname.com/owa/hosting/discovery
turns out that the directory owa isn't correct. that will teach me for following a blog without reading it all the way through. I have removed the Office Web App server from the topology and re-published it but now when I go to add it back in again it already knows the server name so wont let me re-enter it with a different url?
its clearly cached either in the local sql database or in a file somewhere but how can I remove it so I can overwrite it?

Upgrading our Lync 2010 to Lync 2013, use existing or new file store?
Hello,
We have a Lync 2010 Standard deployment, 1x FE, 1x Mediation and 1x Edge server.
We are planning to upgrade to Lync 2013 Standard.
I have done the schema and need to publish the Lync 2013 topology; when I am about to create the new Lync 2013 pool part of the wizard asks if I want to define a new file store or use the existing file store (LyncShare) on our Lync 2010 server.
From the guides I read online I got mixed answers, some say to use the existing share and others explicitly say to define a new one for Lync 2013.
This Lync share holds replication data, address book, conf content, etc.. If I define a new one, once I start migrating my existing Lync 2010 users to the new Lync 2013 pool, how will this affect them? What happens once all my users are on the new pool and I decommission the old Lync 2010 server/topology; do I need to do anything special with the Lync 2010's Share?

Lync 2013 in band policies applying time
Hi everyone.
Can't figure out how much time does it take to apply modifuied user policy.
For example. I set new client version policy which prevents user to use OC 15.0.4420.1017. Then, immediatly trying to connect to server- login successfuly. Sign out, sign in- login successfuly. Delete my sign info- login successfuly. Restart computer- login successfuly. After an hour or two- can't sign in to Lync, which means the policy starts to work. If i unassign the policy it start to work the same way only after an hour or two.
I didn't find answer trying to google it. The only info from technet is only: "Client reseives in-band poilcy in sip message when it logs in".
So, my question is what is the mechanism of applying new in band policy?
May be i don't receive the new policy because of some kind of user cache on server or something like that?

Communication to external contacts broken after hybrid configuration
Hey there,
yesterday I walked through the hybrid wizard on our on premises sfb-server 2015 because this is necessary to use skype meeting broadcast. I also created a new cshostingprovider by
New-CSHostingProvider -Identity SkypeforBusinessOnline -ProxyFqdn "sipfed.online.lync.com" -Enabled $true -EnabledSharedAddressSpace $true -HostsOCSUsers $true -VerificationLevel UseSourceVerification -IsLocal $false -AutodiscoverUrl https://webdir.online.lync.com/Autodiscover/AutodiscoverService.svc/root
Now I can move users to skype online, I can also log in and see the presence of the on premises user. But the on-premises user doesn't see the presence of the cloud user.
Communication to other external contacts is also broken (federated companys with skype for business and skype for desktop). Presence is unknown and when I send an instant message I get the error "message wasn't send due to the company policy". The external contacts still see my on prem users and can send messages. When I got a message I can reply but the presence for the on prem user is still unknown.
I didn't change any policy. But somehow this must be a policy issue ... how can I repair this problem?
Currently I'm out of ideas :(.

RTCXDS Database size Increasing in DR Site
Hi Team
My environment is having Lync 2013 DC pool & DR Pool
Each pool is having 3 Front End Servers , 2 SQL Servers (Mirroring) with Witness Server , 1 Edge Server configured with single IP & single name for 3 Edge services.
Currently all the users are active in DC pool.
We have noticed that in DR SQL server RTCXDS database transaction Log file is increasing too much. We made a change in the file size to 200GB , because DB was reaching maxi space allocated every day. Now we have noticed in 4 days Transaction Log have reached aroung 160 GB.
We checked in DC SQL server RTCXDS DB transaction Log file is around 5gGB.
Need your suggestions to resolve the issue

SFB: Primary sip Server
Enterprise Pool (FE1,FE2) + SQL is on. (DNS round robin)
When user log-in, for example, his primary SIP server is FE1.
If I shutdown FE1, then SFB Client closes session and starts automatically on FE2.
Then, I start FE1. SFB client doesn't switch to FE1.
If I close/start SFB client again, it goes to FE2.
So, In this situation, If I have 5000 users, when I stop/start a FE, All users always will be logged on a specific FE, not ??

Can't join skype for business meeting created in Outlook
Using Skype for Business - Dedicated Lync Server 2013 and Outlook 2013 (msi install)
Setting up a meeting through skype is fine. When "we" set up a meeting through Outlook, the meeting invite is delivered, but when we click on "Join skype meeting", skype opens, then another window opens with " an error occurred during the skype meeting ".
If I copy the hyperlink for "join skype meeting" and put it in IE (version 11), I get " page cannot be displayed "
Am I, (are we) missing a setting when we create Skype for Business meetings in Outlook?
I tried to remove the skype for business add in for outlook, then repaired office - ensured registry settings I found online and tried to create a new meeting, but same result..
I don't know if this ever worked.

Lync 2013 Cannot synchronize address book
Hi All,
I have this problem after Migrating from Lync 2010 to Lync 2013 where all the users from Lync 2013 have a problem on sync/download the address book. I tried everything I saw on web, force download etc. The force download will automatically show the error and not will download the address book, I think the clients cannot download or access the address book on the Server, how can I do that? I tried putting everyone on the Security and Share of FQDN\Share the file store of my Lync 2013 but still no luck.
My Central Management Server is still in Lync 2010, is this affecting this issue? BTW the current setup is that both Lync 2010 and 2013 co exist and no plan of decommissioning Lync 2010.
Help please. Been doing this for a week now.

meetnow not working with external clients
Hello,
I have a setup with On premise staff and faculty using Skype for Business. I also have my student population using Office 365 for their Skype for Business. Everything seems to be working fine between the on premise users and the 0365 users. We can chat, see presence, share desktops, share video and present documents/whiteboards. The problem I am running into is that the virtual conference room never gets setup when I schedule a Skype meeting or use the "meet me now" feature from the client. It tries to connect but the call always drops.
I have sent this to my network engineer https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg398833.aspx and they have confirmed that all the ports have been opened.
Any help would be appreciated.
