Lync 2013 Cannot synchronize address book

Hi All,

I have this problem after Migrating from Lync 2010 to Lync 2013 where all the users from Lync 2013 have a problem on sync/download the address book. I tried everything I saw on web, force download etc. The force download will automatically show the error and not will download the address book, I think the clients cannot download or access the address book on the Server, how can I do that? I tried putting everyone on the Security and Share of FQDN\Share the file store of my Lync 2013 but still no luck.

My Central Management Server is still in Lync 2010, is this affecting this issue? BTW the current setup is that both Lync 2010 and 2013 co exist and no plan of decommissioning Lync 2010.

Help please. Been doing this for a week now.

I ran the command Invoke-CsManagementServerFailover and got the error (highlighted section)

Skype for Business to Skype Connectivity - Invitations are not being delivered.

Hello,

After a day, I received the MS confirmation for the S4B and Skype federation.  Therefore, I proceeded to configure S4B. 

I am now able to search the Skype directory successfully.  But when I send a notification to a contact, the Skype contact still has not received the invitation yet.

Is it always this slow when first setting this up?

Is there something that I can look for on the S4B side?

Lync 2013 Edge resolve SRV records Primary DNS suffix

Hi,

I found the windows edge guest have some network issue , can't resolve SRV records and it make exchange Online UM not work with new deploy.

I found after add primary DNS suffix of the computer, the client can't resolve SRV records.

Any advise. This client is using .com for local domain name, but it should relate right?

I type nslookup public DNS query
set type=srv
_sipfederationtls._tcp.domain.com

result is domain.com
primary name server = ns1.domain.net
responsible mail addr = ns.domain.net

Hi, I want to try my hand at Skype Meeting broadcast but am hitting this error.

Your company policy doesn't allow you to use Skype Meeting Broadcast.

I run a school network so I know the EDU licenses don't cover it but have bought a Skype for Business Online ‎(Plan 2) license which I thought covered it.

I then tried using powershell to make sure its enabled for my network and got this after running the right command.

Lync appointments appearing as private on a Creston Lync System

Lync appointments I make on behalf of my boss come up in our conference room console as requiring his user name and password.  This doesn't happen for anyone else in our organisation (1000+ peope).  Has anybody else had this happen, or know why?  We use a Creston Lync system.

Hello everyone,

I have a litle problem in my skype test environment, I have checked everything twice, DNS records, certificates, everything, but I still cant communicate with users from skype federation... We have registered Edge server in pic.lync.com and I can find my test user account and choose to ad him to contacts from my personal skype account.  

This is the first error, that seems strange, because all ports are open, that need to be open, we have tested it multiple times..

And, there are also these types of errors in log files of SFB. But in those error lines there are no external server, internal SFB Server and Client machine. And I can also search for users in public skype and it works without problem, I can choose Add, but no invite is sent or received...

For me it seems that most strange errors are 403 and 504. I have searched all over the internet for solutions and nothing helps, its mostly check DNS and certificate and everything starts working by itself.. This is not the case for me.

So, is there somebody who can help me with this error? I would greatly appreciate it, because its been over a week and I cant add any contacts and cant finish testing of this product.

Hi all,we have a hybrid environement with exchange 2010 and office 365. We moved a user to office 365 and after that we move it back to onpremise exchange. After that the user voice mail couldnot work. I mentined then that hostedvoicemail was set to true while all other user not. I set it to $null and voicemail started to work, but after some time the hostedvoicemail is set back to true byitself. Could someone please help me with this?

Exchange UM Online work on internal call but not for inbound external call

Inbound to UM online is not work. Have one call tone call success then disconnected. sometime is work .

Internal to UM online is work, can hear UM AA , so the integration Skype for business  to UM online is OK.

found a general error on window client log. 

It is bye message from online UM to Lync Server.

Re-direct internal calls to voicemail

We have some users who get sales calls that are transferred from the ivr someone figures out their name via LinkedIn or something and the ivr sends them straight to them. Is there a way to redirect those calls to voicemail on a user by user basis. I went into ECP and tried a few different combinations with no luck. Any advice with transferred calls from the IVR would be great.

Lync 2013 co-existence

Hi,

Lync 2013 running in the environment, requirement is to deploy Skype For Business 2015 at another server hardware in same Active Directory.To establish co-existence I want to make sure only "RTCUniversalServerAdmins" and "CsAdministrators" group membership will be sufficient or do I need to ask for delegate permission through "GrantCsSetupPermission" cmdlet to run "Enable-CsTopology" as I will not get "Domain Admins" permission.

Skype for Business Server 2015 (front-end) sometimes reports this error on Event Viewer => Application and Services Logs => Lync Server:

  • Source: LS User Services
  • Event ID: 32263
  • Description:

    An error occurred while processing a batch of NotifyPipe replies from another front end. This resulted in the notification not being sent. Error code: 0xC3E93C2F(SIPPROXY_E_UNKNOWN_USER_OR_EPID), Error identifier: NotifySingle.Notify Cause: Possible issues with the other front end or with this front end. Resolution: Ensure the front end is functioning correctly.

Notes:

  • I already read this TechNet Forums post LS User Services - Event 32263 (not "Marked as Answer")
  • Skype for Business Server 2015 servers (both front-end and edge) are working fine; Event Viewer reports no errors with exception of that reported above.

Hi,

I try to do in PS ( from remote computer ) the next command to connect to the SQL server :

Hi,

Can we keep file share for Skype for Business Server on the server running SQL Server ? As per Microsoft it should be on DFS but if it is not available, what will be the impact if we use SQL Server ?

Event ID 33020 LS Centralized Logging Agent - Error while moving cache files to network share

I have the "AlwaysOn" CLS logging scenario running in my Lync 2013 Enterprise deployment.  I did not configure the CacheFileNetworkFolder option since i don't care about retaining these logs anywhere other than on the local drives of the Lync servers so i just left it blank.  Now every few hours or so I am getting Event ID 33020 in each Lync server and SCOM is firing an alert as well.

The CsClsLogging configuration is as follows:

lync 2013 login issue for specific user

Hi,

Lync sign in for specific user has suddenly stopped working... I tried removing and re-adding user on lync server, I have also removed lync user certificate and cleared cache on local system. however this user is not able to sign in to lync 2013 using any system, I have pasted sign logs of that user below.

SQL error truncating log files

Hello everyone,

I've inherited a Lync 2013 setup that is almost complete, but I'm seeing a number of error messages on the overnight backups related to permissions as follows:

Has anyone else experienced this and if yes what was the solution? I've identified that this is related to a SQL instance called "Monitor" on the server (it's just the one server we have), but I'm unable to login to that instance via SQL management Studio  to check any of the details. There's no documentation from my predecessor and I've not used Lync before so I'm having to fumble my way through, any help would be greatly appreciated.

When renewing OAuth certificate, does the partner applications need to be reconfigure between Lync and Exchange to get the renew cert?

The OAuth certificate is a private cert issued by my internal CA authority

I was able to successfully renew the OAuth certificate on the Lync Server using the Lync Deployment Wizard, integration between Lync and Exchange is still working. The original OAuth certificate will expire in 4 days. I deleted the original OAuth certificate on Lync Server through the IIS Manager's server certificates and restarted the Lync services.

How does the Exchange server get the renewed cert? Does the Exchange server get the renewed cert automatically? Or do I have to remove partner applications on the Lync and Exchange servers and then re-add partner applications on the Lync and Exchange servers for the renewed cert to be used?
